On successful completion of the academic program of Industrial Electronics Engineering, students are expected to acquire:
The fundamental knowledge of Mathematics, science and engineering principles through Foundation courses required for Industrial Electronic Engineering.
Ability to identify and apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve the complex engineering problems through procedures and methodologies.
Design/Development of Solutions
Capability to design and develop components, systems or processes meeting specified needs with appropriate consideration of public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
Ability to conduct investigation of complex engineering problems using research based knowledge and exploration methods including experiments, analysis, interpretation of data and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.
Modern Tool Usage
An ability to create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including modeling, to complex engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.
The Engineer and Society
An ability to apply reasoning informed by appropriate knowledge to assess social, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to professional engineering practice and solution to complex engineering problems.
Environment and Sustainability
An ability to understand the impact of professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental context and demonstrate knowledge for sustainable development.
Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering practice.
Individual and Team Work
An ability to work effectively as an individual or in a team, on multifaceted and/or multidisciplinary settings.
A skill to communicate effectively, orally as well as in writing, on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentations, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions
An ability to demonstrate management skills and apply engineering principles to one’s own work, as a member and/or leader in a team, to manage projects in a multidisciplinary environment.
Recognition of the need for and an ability to engage in life-long learning, students would be capable to seek employment in process industry, R & D organizations or contribute as an entrepreneur. They may also pursue to postgraduate study in Industrial Electronics or related Engineering disciplines.
