Overview
The Board of Studies (BOS) is IIEE’s academic regulatory body. It reviews the curriculum, course titles and contents, and recommends changes through the institute to NED University of Engineering and Technology.
Its composition deliberately mixes senior IIEE faculty with NED nominees and academia or industry members, so academic decisions are tested against both university requirements and professional practice.
Who sits on the BOS
- Principal IIEE — Chairperson.
- Two nominees from NED University of Engineering and Technology.
- Two members from academia or industry, outside IIEE and NED.
- Vice Principal, IIEE — Member.
- Secretary, IIEE-PCSIR — Member.
- Two senior faculty members from IIEE-PCSIR — Members.
What the BOS does
- Reviews course titles, contents and the overall academic scheme.
- Recommends curriculum changes for approval by NED University.
- Keeps academic practice aligned with PEC accreditation requirements.
- Reviews academic standards, results and student progression.
- Records decisions through meeting calls and agendas.

A living curriculum
Course titles and contents can change when the BOS judges it necessary, with subsequent approval from NED University. That is a strength: the programme can respond to new tools and industry needs without losing academic oversight.
