Engr. Dr. Farah Haroon on three decades of teaching, accreditation, and where IIEE is going next.
Welcome to the Institute of Industrial Electronics Engineering. IIEE is a federal government institution under the administrative control of the Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology.
We have offered a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Electronics for more than three decades and are recognised for our teaching standards and for graduates who are gainfully employed across Pakistan and abroad.
The programme is affiliated with NED University of Engineering and Technology and accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council at Level II under the Outcome-Based Education system. Our curriculum is aligned with emerging technologies, industry best practice and real-world applications. It brings together electronics with in-depth work in industrial instrumentation, artificial intelligence, power electronics, embedded systems, robotics, and control and automation.
With the support of PCSIR and the Ministry of Science and Technology, the upgrade of equipment, infrastructure and allied facilities is under way through the Public Sector Development Programme. The IIEE Students’ Project Display Center has also been established to extend our outreach to industry and the professional community.
We admit 50 students a year from across the country and focus on integrity, respect and responsibility. A safe, healthy environment is created for our students to learn and succeed.
I am proud of what our alumni have accomplished, and I expect the next generation to go further — as leading engineers, innovators, researchers and entrepreneurs who add value to a knowledge-based economy.
