Overview
The cafeteria is a practical part of campus life: a place to eat, take a break and talk through a project with classmates. It is also a shared space, so cleanliness and queueing matter.
Some of the best project ideas start over tea. Some of the worst lab mistakes start with skipping lunch. Use the break.

Campus manners
- Queue in order and let others finish before you order.
- Clear your table and return trays or cups.
- Keep noise reasonable, especially during class hours.
- Pay promptly and keep the counter moving.
- Report hygiene or maintenance issues to the cafeteria staff.
- Take only what you will eat; avoid unnecessary waste.
More than lunch
The cafeteria is also an informal meeting room. Use it for a quick project huddle, a batch announcement or a conversation with a visiting alumnus. Keep it welcoming for everyone.
