Overview
Internships are where coursework meets a real workplace: safety rules, deadlines, teams and equipment you did not choose. IIEE undergraduates have completed placements with a range of Karachi employers.
The placement is also an assessment. Keep a record of what you did, ask for feedback and submit the required report and feedback form on time.
Where students have worked
Recent placements include Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Novatex, Abbott Pharmaceuticals, Atlas Hitech, Tetra Pak, General Tyres and Allied Engineering.
An earlier batch completed internships at Mind Storm Engineering, Ebrahim Textile Mills, Indus Motors, Atlas Honda, Vision Syndicate, PEL, Igloo, Watson Engineers, K-Electric and Sui Southern Gas.

Make it count
- Learn the safety rules before you touch anything.
- Keep a daily log of tasks, tools and lessons.
- Ask why a process is done a certain way, not just how.
- Build one small tool or checklist that helps your supervisor.
- Ask for feedback before you leave and stay in touch.
