Message from the Chairman, PCSIR
Dr. Syed Hussain Abidi on IIEE’s role in building Pakistan’s engineering workforce.
It is a matter of great satisfaction that the Institute of Industrial Electronics Engineering is producing high-quality manpower — B.E. (Industrial Electronics) graduates — under the patronage of the Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, a premier R&D organisation of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
In today’s competitive world, Pakistan’s progress depends on sustainable economic development and technological self-reliance. Both rest on people. Developing trained manpower is therefore a shared challenge for industry, the public and private sectors, and our research organisations.
IIEE represents a unique bilateral collaboration between the Governments of Switzerland and Pakistan. Its graduates play a pivotal role in industry and research organisations across the world, including developed countries. In Pakistan they serve the industrial sector and research institutions, and increasingly build careers as entrepreneurs and academics.
I wish IIEE continued success in its mission to provide high-quality engineering professionals for the sustainable industrial development of Pakistan.
Dr. Syed Hussain Abidi
Chairman, PCSIR
